We do both Mary!!! :)
Yes they are on the menu.
Opens at 11:00 am
Closed on Sundays as far as I know.
Can only order from the menu, but what an unusual menu! http://www.loydhavemercy.com/our-menu/ YUM!
Probably better call them.
Have been thinking about coming here for awhile since I moved to town a couple of months ago. I WAS NOT disappointed! The food is absolutely just like grandma used to make. Down home southern comfort food. My mom had come to visit fron Arkansas and she raved about the food as well. I had fried chicken livers, mashed potatoes and black eyed peas and she had fried pork chops and collard greens. Dont usually eat fried foods anymore but this was definitely worth it and will be one of my new favorite go to spots. Definitely 2 thumbs up and come here if you want REAL southern comfort food.
MoreI went with my wife and daughter for dinner. My wife had the meat loaf, she loved it. My daughter tried the soy glazed grouper, she was so happy with the plating and the flavoring. I however tried the ox tail, it was extremely overcooked. It was charred all around and almost inedible. I've eaten here before, in the old location too. Never have i had a plate like this before. Fortunately, my wife and daughter loved it. So we'll be coming back. But I won't be eating the ox tail.
MoreWe went here the day after Robert Irvine swept through for a "Restaurant Impossible" makeover. The decor was fresh and homey. We ended up getting our own menus as no one greeted is as we came in and we sat for awhile without assistance. We ordered their fried chicken. It comes with mac and cheese, collard greens and supposedly corn bread (which, inexplicably, we did not get). As for the built-in sides, there are no substitutions so if you aren't a fan of what is offered, you are out of luck. The fried chicken was well cooked and crispy. However, we both agreed that it was rather bland. Due to Loyd Have Mercy's department of health scores, this is the first time I have ever eaten here, and the overall experience was not enough to bring me back. To bad, considering how close it is to my home.
MoreNew decor is lovely, food is fantastic. Both of us had lick-your-plate delicious meals, but especially the OXTAIL! Our new favorite in Titusville!
MoreAwesome place. I went soley because of the name. No soul food in Merritt Island that I know of so i travelled a little ways. Loved the name and the restaurant didn't disappoint. There were only 7 dishes to choose from which was offsetting at first because i usually dont eat red meat and i wasnt feeling fried chicken or grouoer but i got the oxtails sweet potatoe puree and brussel sprouts. It was out of this world. Didn't get a chance to take a photo cause i dived in like a pig. It was worth sidetracking for a meal. Owner came over and introduced himself to the table and was very personable. Wait staff very professional. Prices not bad. Decor was on point but they should also redo the bathroom! Thanks for the great meal.
MoreWe were there today after renovations and the restaurant looks beautiful. The food was definitely delicious, but not the southern style comfort food it used to be. It’s comfort food with a stylish twist that comes as served. We wished there were sides we could pick from. Overall, we had a good experience.
MoreReally cheap food, and its delicious, in Florida close to the beach, finding both of those together is hard to imagine. I will go.back when I'm in Florida again, and I recommend you do as well. They do have table service and patio seating and the servers are all very polite.
MoreThe best fried chicken livers and collards I've eaten. Excellent service. Our waiter was especially friendly and nice. Very clean. Will definitely go back...
MoreJust had dinner with my family. Restaurant Impossible just filmed an episode there last week. I had the fried pork chop with collard greens, and creamy pimento grits. One the best dinner in a very long time. All the food was just as good as eating at grandma's house. If don't see something on the dinner menu ask for the lunch menu.
MoreThe fried green tomatoes were great and The meat loaf was so good 👠See you Tuesday.
MoreA fresh coat of paint is not going to make up for the new menu they have now. When they return to the good old southern meals they offered before, I will be back. But until then I will go elsewhere. The show coming to town only did a disservice to what was a nice place to eat were we could get good southern cooking. Now we only get the millennial version of soul food with no soul and no substitutions.
MoreThey all seemed to be very flustered, I did a to go order it took them awhile to get to me, order came out fast. Then I had to sit there waiting to pay. I finally said can I pay for this, and they all looked confused. The food was good. But I think I will give it some time so they can get on the same page.
MoreWe love this place but had a little bit of a bad experience last time we were there. They were out of oxtail which is the reason we go there. Also, found a piece of a steel wool pad in my cabbage. I did not make a scene I just showed it to them and they gave me a different vegetable. They took $1 off my bill but the manager never came out. I did not ask them to come out but I just think it's the right thing to do when there is a problem. We do love the food here. We will go back. Can't wait to see how it looks after the Restaurant Impossible rehab!
MoreOMG this food is Heaven on Earth literally.. ordered through DoorDash and was hot and fresh in 20 min but this food tho was beyond my expectations I'm well pleased I WILL be back !!!!
MoreIf you like soul food this is the place. Friendly service. The food is great. So many sides to choose from. Fried green tomatoes, carrot souffle, black eyed peas, collard greens to name a few. We had some picky eaters in our party but everone was pleased with their selection. Very friendly people.
MoreThe food is amazing! Real soul food! Everything was well seasoned. It's a nice family owned business. I can't wait to go back. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I've already made reservations for my birthday.
MoreThe pork chop with caramelized onion over cheese grits and collard greens was DIVINE. My friend's had the pulled pork, fried chicken and the fish. Everyone agreed, this food is delicious and fresh. Can't wait to go back.
MoreIt's real cooking. I love their livers, potatoes salad and fried tomatoes.People are friendly. Very clean. I love em🌈â¤ðŸ™
MoreBest soul food to be sure. Fried chicken, fried catfish, fried okra, fried green tomatoes and peach cobbler for dessert. And ribs!! LLODY,LLOYD what a fantastic find. Hurry n get here before Kitchen Impossible completes the redo...
MoreThis restaurant is doubtless one of the coolest place to eat in the area. Anytime I go there I am so satisfied. They preserve their very high standard service and the topmost level of meals they serve. You always win with this restaurant. Warmly recommended.
MoreIf you want down home cooking, look no further. Hands down the BEST southern style soul food around. The fried catfish and fried chicken are amazing!!
MoreBest friend chicken I ever had , I will definitely be going back often . Owner and staff are awesome.
MoreI was so disappointed with their new menu. Who pairs ox tail in a bed of sweet mash potatoes and Brussel sprouts!!!!! Yuck yuck and more yuck!!!! Wish I could go negative on the stars. :/
MoreGood southern cooking with a fun menu that definitely won't bore you. Staff is friendly and the food is fresh and tasty!
MoreSaw restaurant on Robert Irving's Restaurant Impossible! Drove up from Viera to try meatloaf and fried chicken. Corn bread should be sold in loads, everything tastes great.
MoreMy experience was fantastic...great people..food and pricing.Congratulates ..we heard about your blessing for your restaurant and your family. 👪
MoreWe always enjoyed Loyd Have Mercy and thought the food was great. Very inexpensive and probably underpriced. The renovation that Restaurant: Impossible and Chef Irvine did was beautiful. The team came in and gave this restaurant a new life. The menu is simple. I kind of like that it isn't complicated and hard to choose from. I ordered the Oxtail with Brussels sprouts and a sweet potato puree. It was delicious. My husband got the fried chicken with collard greens (i don't care for collard greens so these were the only ones I have ever liked) a new mac and cheese which was much improved and corn bread. The chicken is the same and delicious. We ordered a side of fried green tomatoes (not on the menu but you can ask for them). It was a great experience all around and worth the dinner price. We will be back. Thank you Chef for helping a really nice couple.
MoreFood was deeee-lish! Real southern food just as it should be. Seafood was very fresh. The only negative was that the air conditioning was not working that day, so we were very hot as we ate. The service was pleasant and it wasn't fancy. If you want southern food and ambience is not necessary, go now!
MoreHonest review.3rd time here, but 1st time after the remodel. This place was good for a deal and good food before. Local and down to earth, is how I would have described it.It is now a great place for everyone to come to, after the remodel. And they are plating the food very well now. I mean, presentation sells everything in this world now.The meat loaf is where outings at, btw.One thing to watch out for is, regardless of they're are busy or not, drink refills can be very slow. Just make sure to keep their attention and you'll get the refills more timely. They do have the intention of providing good service, so make sure to be fair with tipping. Stop under tipping service professionals in general, people.
MoreI wasn’t sure when I first came in and saw how limited the menu was because of how picky I am. I ended up getting the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. The mashed potatoes were the best I have ever had (no exaggeration) and the meatloaf was cooked so well with such good flavor!! I think once they are able to add more to the menu, it will be very successful and the owner is beyond deserving! Definitely a 10/10 and will be back!
MoreI would have given them 5 stars before the Restaurant Impossible makeover. We loved their food. It was authentic soul food. Now it's hipster "soul food". Oxtails with sweet potato puree and braised brussel sprouts? Ribs only on Saturdays? That's not what we used to come for. We wanted comfort food. I walked in and took one look at the limited menu and walked back out. I was so disappointed. We will be back if they start offering the menu items that had us coming back in the past. Fried okra, Mac and cheese, etc. The only good thing is that the interior looks nice now.
MoreFood tastes good, but they were understaffed and service and freshness was affected
MoreGood , great flavor, limited menu highly condensed version of the old one. S bit more gourmet looking with a southern flair.. the inside looks really nice a 100% improvement. But should be able to substitute vegetables.
MoreMy husband and I along with our son absolutely love the southern food from here. I highly recommend you stop in, the fried green tomatoes are the best. Real home cooking with abundant size serving and small town prices. The seafood prices here will definitely not break your wallet. ♡♡♡♡ I've taken the liberty of posting some pictures if our plates. Our bill for 3 was about $30.00 sweet prices!
MoreTake out was quick and easy, and the folks at the window were so friendly! Definitely refreshing to feel some positive vibes during this time. As for the food, the grouper had so much flavor and veggies complimented the dish nicely. Also, I love the new mac n cheese!! Thank you guys.
MoreWalked in sceptical, left amazed at how absolutely delicious the food is. Can't recommend enough. Meatloaf amazing, fried chicken loaded with flavor
MoreReally big mistake changing their menu. We used to visit all the time, but they now have very little soul food or comfort food. Not much chance of me coming back.
MoreVery cozy atmosphere, the food here is delicious and the service was great. Good ole southern charm with all of the fixings.
MoreFood was superb and the service also. Will definitely go next time I'm In Titusville
MoreLoving the updated vibe and the focused menu. The food was great before but it has leveled up to offer a little more sophistication to the staple dishes and not at the expense of the original home-kitchen appeal.
MoreVery disappointed. Hopefully the show Dinners Impossible can help make changes. Not only does the place need a refresh and remodel the food was very subpar.
MoreI ordered the three piece fried chicken, my husband the BBQ meatloaf and we split the peach cobbler. The staff and the food are amazing! I've already saved this as one of my favorites ðŸ˜
MoreAmazing soul food, great atmosphere. Wonderful staff. And only a short ticket flight from Kennedy Space Center.
MoreWas expecting some down to earth food but hot some lukewarm meatloaf that was flooded with some white sauce. The decor is very nice but the food...
MoreSmall comfortable restaurant that doesn't feel crowded. Service was friendly and prompt. The chef and owner stopped to chat for a couple of minutes. Their menu is very limited but the 3 dishes we ordered were excellent - fresh, well prepared, tasty - and our food was served hot. We dug right in and forgot to take pictures of the food. The 3 piece fried chicken was plentiful with crispy skin and tender meat. It was not greasy at all. The fish was delicious and the oxtail was tender. Sides were small but right sized. After our meal we shared the best peach cobbler I've had in a while. It was very sweet so the ice cream was a great accompaniment to mellow the sweetness. It was a very good meal and enjoyable experience. I wish they had more food choices. I took away a star only because the waitress said we could not substitute sides.
MoreReally enjoy eating here. They have some of the most excellent fried chicken. The onion rings and fried green tomatoes are delicious too. I'm looking forward to trying some of the other menu items. The service is great and I really like the old timey atmosphere. Really affordable prices too for such large portions. We will keep coming back.
MoreThey did not have my ox tails or chitterlins, therefore I give them only 3 stars. They would have received 5 stars as the 1 Turkey wing, I finally settled on for my meal, was moist and flavorful. Service was friendly and with a smile; rear at this time in history. I also enjoyed the family friendly atmosphere. I hate that the food options were so slim. Note to owner: Always have the food on your menu!
MoreOne of the best eatery experiences on my trip to Florida. We just had to stop and eat at a place called Loyd have mercy. It exceeded all of our expectations. The food was so deliciousssssss. Chicken, Catfish and all the sides were a 10! Tried the cakes, yes cakes of the day and they were heaven. I wholeheartedly recommend this place if you are in the area. The service was excellent, courteous and welcoming. I would of given it 10 stars but it was not an option. Don't miss out stop by.
MoreOMG!!! So delicious....Absolutely the best fried chicken I have ever had!! But I do have one complaint...I wanted more of the cornbread!!! I grew up in the south and I know cornbread when i see it....that was the best cornbread I have ever had....apparently Andrew's mother makes the cornbread and I want more!! Way to go guys!! I'll be back (but I want more cornbread)!!!
MoreI loved the fried pork chops. They were breaded and deep fried. Salty and delicious. Reminded me of my mother's. I'm from South Carolina, so from my perspective, it was perfect.
